Round One - Morrow

Quinn and Pearl's house was the last to be built. They chose a corner somewhat tucked into the jungle with a nice pond for fishing and swimming. The extensive decking on the house took a little long than they had hoped.
They were pretty thrilled when it was finally done. They even had a little swing outside for the children they hoped to have in the future. Of course they had to try it to make sure it was safe.
Despite how uncivilized their settlement still was, Pearl and Quinn were determined to have a baby. They tried different locations and at all times of the day.
They barely took time for meals at first so Quinn would end up whipping up something quick like fruit salad.
Pearl, for whatever reason, was the first one Ruby actually confided in about her pregnancy. Pearl, of course, was thrilled.
"Oh I'm so happy. I'm going to be an auntie! Now if only Quinn could give me a little baby we could raise them together!"
Ruby remained quiet in all of Pearl's ramblings. She wasn't even showing yet and she wasn't sure what she was going to do with the baby. She never really thought of herself as mother material.
The Morrow household soon became a central hang out for everyone. The pond was nice and refreshing on a hot summer day.
It had been months and Pearl was starting to get a little put out by their unsuccessful attempts at having a baby.
Quinn was always there to comfort her and it always ended with "Why don't we try some more?"
"I can't wait until your brother gets a system for running water hooked up. Bathing all the time takes up so much time."
"Are you trying to say I'm hogging the tub?"
"Not at all, dear. I'm perfectly happy washing myself in the sink."
That same wolf that Ruby and Erik had been seeing paid them a visit too. At first Pearl's attempts to shoo it away seemed to be working, but then it just turned aggressive. Erik's stories of playing fetch with this creature couldn't be true. This was a wild animal.
The plus side of having a lake and not much else to do is certainly showing some benefits. Pearl is quite happy with how it is affecting her physique.
Quinn seems to be happy with the changes too.
"Honey, I think this darn stove blew up! Erik better get some new inventions working soon or I'm going to send him back to Iona!"
Luckily they were able to get the fire out before anything other than the meal was destroyed.

Date: 12 Sep 2013 04:40 (UTC)Yes, the diving board and ladder came from WFS. I just love them and they fit a swimmable pond so well. I also never build my own swimmable ponds because I completely fail at them. Most of these lots were just modifications on existing lots by other creators. Much much easier than trying to create one myself!
