Round Two - Ambrose

Its always nice when the other sims come over for a visit. Without electricity there is no way to call each other, so they just pop by whenever seems convenient.




Unfortunately Liv picked a bad time as Erik was already over. No matter what, these two just can't be civil to each other.



Ruby made a brief appearance too and Natalya couldn't help fawning over her (barely showing) belly. No one was saying it, but they were all worried that her pregnancy would end the same way as Natalya's. Without medical care and prenatal care, having a baby was going to be a risk.



Meanwhile Erik and Zayne are having an animated discussion about town duties.



"I don't care about what is going on with you two. Once you get electricity sorted you need to make a sun lamp for Liv."
"But-"
"No. I told you I don't care. Liv has just as big a role in this as you do. Who puts food on your plate after all?"
Erik reluctantly agreed.



After that unpleasantness with town drama, Zayne and Natalya blow off a little steam.



One morning Natalya woke up feeling a little under the weather.



Some fresh salty air was determined to be the best cure for her ailments.



Even Arden seems to be a little concerned for her.



Unfortunately the salt air didn't seem to help.



"Hey Erik, just the sim I was looking for."
"Me?" It was a bit of a shock after their last encounter at Erik's house.
"The gravity hose on the sink is broken and it shoots out water everywhere."
"Oh, alright I'll have a look." If she noticed his disappointment she didn't mention it.



"Help me fix the sink she says. Yeah, no problem!"



At least he could take out his frustration on an inanimate object.



When Zayne got up that evening Natalya was still feeling under the weather and napping on the couch. He was content to just watch her sleep.





"Oh, hey Zayne. I fixed the sink like Natalya asked."
"Thank you so much. How is it going with your other projects?"



"Its not as easy as I had hoped, but I am making some good progress. I have a system that should work for getting running water to everyone's house."



"Sounds great. Let me know if you need any more supplies."
"Will do. Well I better get back to work."



That night they all took in the sea air together.



And Natalya finally found out why she hasn't been feeling well.



The next day starts with great sadness as poor Arden passes away.



He was a good and loyal companion. Natalya buried him under the tree with help from Trent.



Trent must have told Pearl in passing because she showed up to fawn over Natalya's baby bump.



Zayne is pretty excited about the news. Neither of them dare bring up the results of her last pregnancy.



Luckily things seem to be going better this time.





Being pregnant is really exhausting though.





And in no time at all Natalya goes into labour.




Its a shocking surprise when she gives birth to not just one baby boy, but two of them!
The first born is named Gryffon and the other is called Thor.





The babies are a lot of work, keeping Natalya up well into the night and up again early the next morning. She has a hard time keeping up with two babies seeing as she must raise them mostly on her own.



Providing for her family extends beyond changing nappies and bottle feedings. Unfortunately she hasn't quite figured out the whole fishing concept.



Zayne had a total shock when Arden came back for a visit. Until now he never thought he'd see a ghost.




Zayne makes up for lost time during the day by hanging out with the boys at night. He only wishes he had more time with them.





The happy couple takes advantage of the few quiet moments they have while the babies sleep.





This whole business with Erik, Liv and Trent really needs to come to an end. Zayne may need to appoint someone to handle the law in this town already.



Time flies by so fast and in no time the boys are crawling around the house and getting into all kinds of mischief. They were shocked beyond words when Thor grew a set of baby fangs. They had no idea that Zayne's condition could be passed on to their children.









The boys are even more of a handful now that they are mobile. Natalya sure has her hands full with potty training and teaching them to talk and walk. Zayne helps when he can. His favourite moment with his boys is when he gets to tuck them in for the night.

They'd have such a quiet family life if it weren't for Liv and Erik's overlapping visits!

Things are going to be interesting when the twins grow up, with only one of them having inherited Zayne's condition ... but for now, those tiny baby fangs sure are cute!

You would think the only family with a supernatural would be the family with the most drama, but they really are quite normal.

It will be interesting when they grow up. I'm thinking I might get a vampire aging mod and put it as 2x the normal sim ages. Though my vamps usually crispy critter themselves long before I get tired of them kicking around.

Oooh! Baby vampire! That's really cute. I'm glad they were able to make it through the whole pregnancy this time. And then 2 babies! :D

Random: I'd really put on more comfy shoes if I were Natalya. Heels in the sand sure is a workout. *lol*

I just wish that vampires were all ages because I keep sticking him outside during the day and then going "oh crap he shouldn't be out there!" oh well... The fangs are just too adorable.

I'll take your word on the shoes, don't wear them myself. For the sims its the same deal as going to the toilet with their pants on. They don't seem to notice. :p

I'm glad their pregnancy was successful this time! And yay for twins. I love it that the boys have such different genetics. By the way, how'd you get the toddler fangs? I've never seen that before!

I'm glad too and really wasn't expecting twins! I wouldn't trade them in for anything though. The toddler fangs are an accessory made by ChemTale. They were a little hard to track down so here is the link. (http://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?topic=27680.msg649532#msg649532)

Thanks for that link! What made you pick him to be a vampire? DO you have some sort of system to decide which kids inherit the gene?

You're welcome! I do have a system for deciding who inherits supernatural genes. Its really quite simple.. I roll a die and odds are they get the gene. :) It actually works out really well so far and I've never had supernaturals overrun the hood using that method.

Aha, that is very simple and it's really neat that it works out where you don't get too many supernaturals. I use a genetics method much like how the game uses to determine skintone, hair color and eye color. But that's because I'm a science nerd like that. :P

I can sort of understand why they didn't include it, but on the other hand they didn't seem to have a problem doing it in TS3! The fang accessories are fun though, despite not having the other features to go with them.

Arden lived a long time, they just spent so much of it on Iona.

YES! I just love those baby fangs. I want all the babies to be vampires so I can make them wear those.
