Round Two - Morrow

Pearl can't help but wonder if she will ever be able to have a baby. All around her the women were starting families, even Rose who didn't seem like the type to settle down with a husband, 2.5 kids and a white picket fence. She also knew that Erik wasn't likely to settle into that role either.



The whole thing was just very frustrating to her.







Quinn and Pearl decided to get some fish they could barter for other things. Pearl wasn't having any luck though and had only caught old boots so far.





Finally her luck started to change.



"You really expect me to buy a fish you have laying on your porch? I don't think so."



"Do I really need a washed up old boot?"







They finally got some crates with ice to store the fish in. This made the other sims much happier to accept their fish.



When Liv suggested they adopt Maddison as their own child, she had nothing but fears about Ruby coming to take her back. She wouldn't be able to handle that.



Quinn convinced her to take a chance. All they could do was offer their love to this little baby girl.



With any luck Maddison wouldn't know the difference about who her real parents were. Of course they would tell her if she ever needed to know. Hopefully Ruby and Erik would still be a part of her life in some way.





But when Quinn invited Erik in to see how she was doing he just muttered something about windmills and solar power and wandered off.









As time went by they got more and more comfortable with the idea of being Maddison's parents. The thought of Ruby coming back for her slipped into the back of their minds.



"You know, just because we haven't been successful before, doesn't mean we can't still try."
"You know, I think you're right. Though Maddison is more than enough if thats all we can ever have."



And Maddison was growing quickly.





Lately Pearl has been feeling really run down and hungry all the time.



But eating so much made her really nauseous.



She hoped it wasn't anything serious and she made sure to get plenty of rest to try and fight off whatever it was.







Maddison was always demanding attention though, so she did her best to get the rest she needed.





Pearl was surprised one day when she noticed a prominent swell to her belly. Could it really be? The symptoms seemed to fit.





Quinn was thrilled when Pearl shared her little secret with him.







As her pregnancy progressed Pearl became more and more tired.



But she was delighted to watch her belly grow bigger and bigger.









Meanwhile Maddison was getting bigger and bigger too and she was also becoming more mobile.





Quinn was fishing one evening when he heard Pearl's cries coming from the bedroom. He raced to her side, hoping nothing was wrong with the baby.



It turns out she was actually in labour.







They welcomed a new baby girl into the world. Her name is Wylla.



Life couldn't really get much better. Well... a hot shower would be nice.

Maddison is so very cute. I love that picture of her standing next to her crib after crawling out. And I am so happy that these two finally had a healthy baby! Hurray for baby Wylla! And hot showers. :)

Maddison is a happy accident. :) I think Wylla rounds out this family quite nicely. I think all the sims in Desolation Sound are ready for a hot shower by now!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm having fun playing with the TS3 traits for them to give some more personality, even though game limitations makes it hard to play some of them out.

I don't think that Ruby will ever want her back, but I am hoping they will develop a relationship at some point.

Isn't that typical, they get Maddison and then she falls pregnant! I'm sure they will be very happy, if tired :P

Very typical. TS2 always loves to throw some curve balls in there. Two young ones to feed definitely makes their lives a lot busier, not that they didn't have enough going on already. :)

They're both family sims, so they're the perfect couple to raise Maddison. It doesn't make a difference to them at all that Pearl didn't actually give birth to her, she is their daughter through and through.

The age gap between them isn't much so they will definitely be growing up together and hopefully becoming the best of friends in the process. They already seem like a close knit family so it would be nice to see that over the generations.
