Round Three - Keating

Now that Erik has his experimental solar panels made up he has a bit more free time to spend with Ruby.



He is still trying to peddle his wares, but not everyone has something to barter with all the time.



His next big creation was a giant water tank. It held enough water that he could gravity feed showers in everyone's house now.









Since everyone has a telephone in their house now, Erik called everyone over for a party . Well.. everyone he was on good terms with anyway.



The first thing he does is sneak off with Ruby for some woohoo.





The phones weren't always his favourite accomplishment.



Neither were his toy robots. Most of them didn't work right.



"Hey, Natalya. How are things?"
"Oh, things could be better. This pregnancy is really taking its toll on me."



"Let me check. Are you sure you're not having twins again?"
"I guess we won't know until its time."

It was kind of odd that Erik was interested in Natalya's kid when he doesn't even acknowledge his own child.



He took some time to fix up his own bathroom now that they have some proper running water.





The island natives started showing up at his house to check out what he was trading. Nanys was concerned his inventions didn't fit her green standards, but was pleasantly surprised with his designs.



Even Quinn came back with some fresh fish to trade for a drain spout.





He was finally getting better at building those robot toys at least.

I like seeing how your settlement is coming along. I think the idea of trading is brilliant, because, of course, where are they going to get money from :)

Thanks. I'm having fun watching it grow too. Until a connection to the main land is made, there is no use for money on the island. What would they do with it anyway? Fire starter? :p

So many improvements to the island. Great job Erik. I hope all the other residents understand just how valuable he is to their survival!

Erik works so hard to make everyone comfortable and not everyone appreciates his hard work. Most of them actually take him for granted (Even Ruby, though he does benefit from their relationship too). I think the only one that really realizes his value is Natalya and he has misinterpreted her gratitude as something else.

They will need a much bigger one as the town grows, but it will serve its purpose until then. Erik comes up with all the great ideas and he is such a hard worker.
