Liv was completely surprised when Erik called her. He had good news - the market stall he was building was finally complete. She could move her goods over there whenever she was ready.

Trent loves spending time with little Briar. He likes to imagine that Briar is his and Liv's daughter, but Liv shot him down and he would never have a family with her.

Still, he would do anything for her and that is how he got wrangled into helping out with the new market that Liv had Erik set up for her.

It wasn't much right now, but it was a place she could sell their fresh produce and Ruby's creations.

She couldn't have picked a better location herself though. Erik certainly pulled through and that surprised her. They didn't exactly get along after all.

Back at home Trent has invited one of the villagers, Chloe, in for dinner. She was cute and he was getting tired of Liv's refusal to commit.

She was quick to admit that she was into scruffier more manly men, but she did think that Trent was attractive anyway.

"So why don't we turn tonight into a date...?"
"I would like that."

They spent some time getting to know each other and they both agreed that they were glad Karukera didn't have any sort of industry.

Trent invited her out for a romantic moonlit porch on the deck, but he accidentally stepped on her foot.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry Chloe. I can't believe how clumsy..."
"I can't believe you could be so... *breathes*"

"No harm done, really."

"Its so hot here. Where I come from it snows in the winter."

"I would like to see this snow someday. I've never been off Karukera. I've often dreamed about the big world out there just waiting to be explored."
"Yeah... I think I've had enough exploring for a lifetime."

"So you really don't think about leaving Karukera? What about your family back home?"
"My parents died when I was little. I never really thought too much about traveling. After we crashed and landed on that deserted island I can't imagine tempting fate again."

"You have been through so much. You must be so strong."
"Yeah, ha, not really."

All too soon the date came to an end. Chloe's expression as she left was a little hard to read, but Trent had a good feeling about it.
"So, I'll see you later. I hope?"

Liv spends the night teaching little Briar about the wonders of nature. She only hopes her daughter will grow up with the same love and respect for plants as she has.

Trent is still dealing with that bee issue... no luck so far.

Ruby was having a nice conversation with Gregory, another one of the locals. All was going well until she suggested that maybe she could sew him a nice outfit. He took her offer as a great insult to his culture.

"I will never understand you people with your fashion and your vanity."

"Is it really so wrong to want to look nice?"
"In our culture a woman doesn't need to paint her lips and eyes to be attractive."
Ruby dared not say anything about what they do paint on their faces. She had already offended him enough.

Despite his date with Chloe, Trent still can't find a way to say 'no' to Liv.

The wolves were one thing, but one day Liv was accosted by a Hyena on her way to work.

It even followed her to the market. It didn't seem interested in harming her and Gregory assured her that they haven't had any problems with the local wildlife before.

Liv managed to trade some of her produce for a couple chickens that the villagers were raising. Now they could have fresh eggs for breakfast.

Chloe stopped by again the next day and Trent was thrilled.

"I've been thinking all night and I should have done this yesterday. I just had to come back and see you."

Things were quickly heating up between these two.

And in the midst of everything Briar shot up like a weed.

She was pleased to have free run of the place now.

"Its getting late. I have to get back to the village."
"Are you sure you have to go?"
"Yes, but I will see you soon! Goodnight."

Briar couldn't have better timing.
"Hey, Trent, look what I can do!"
"That's great, sweetheart."

Trent and Liv are going to confuse Briar with acts like this.

"Mommy, why can't I play outside all night? Its not like I need to sleep."
"Because when the moon comes out the sun goes to bed. Without the sun we can't absorb the nutrients we need to survive."

"So are we magic or something?"
"Its not magic. We come from the earth. They call us plantsims."

"I don't really like being a plantsim. It stinks..."

"But nature is so wonderful and we are blessed to be a part of it in a way not many other people get to experience."
"Whatever, Mom. It stinks."

Being out in the sunshine puts Briar in a much better mood.

Ruby is still working on her sewing projects. Even if the villagers won't accept her offer of clothes, there are lots of new children that will need outfits as they grow.

Chloe was coming by a lot lately and she and Trent were becoming really close.

So close in fact that Trent just couldn't hold back any longer.
"I don't know how you do this in your culture, but where I'm from when a man loves a woman, he gets down on one knee."

"He offers her a ring and says... 'Will you marry me?'"

"Trent..."

"Of course I will marry you. Our traditions may be a little different, but we still believe in marriage."

"Oh good. I wasn't sure..."

Liv didn't realize what she was getting into when she kept the little plant girl she plucked from her garden. When she was a toddler it was easy, put her out in the vegetable patch when the sun came up, bring her in at night, give her a bath now and again. Mostly the little girl kept her company when the sun went down. Now she actually had to take responsibility for her and make sure she did her homework.

She was still there to hang out with, but Briar wasn't really interested in the things Liv liked to do.

Sure, she was good with the plants, but she didn't seemed to enjoy gardening the way Liv did.

Despite Trent's impending marriage he is still carrying on with Liv. Letting her go has proven harder than he imagined.

The wedding was right around the corner and Ruby had a surprise for Chloe.

"A gift for me?"

"Ruby.. you didn't have to."
"Its a wedding dress. I wasn't sure if you wanted to go traditional... I just thought you might like the option."
"Its a great idea, Ruby. Thank you so much."

They didn't plan anything fancy, just a small ceremony on the front lawn with a few friends.

Quinn even managed to whip up a cake, though Trent wasn't sure how he made it without any flour.

It was delicious anyway.

"Did I mention how beautiful you look in that dress?"
"Yes, dear, several times in fact."

Chloe saved herself until marriage and as soon as all their guests left she was dragging Trent out to the hot springs.

Liv loved these moments where Briar was more of a friend than a responsibility.

Chloe wasn't sure if it was the change in diet or something else, but she suddenly wasn't feeling well. She decided she would try and sleep it off.

Meanwhile Trent is rekindling his friendship with the local wolves. He was the only adult on the island that shared a strange bond with them.

"Good morning, Liv."

"Oh, hi Nanys. How are you today?"
"I am great. I just came by to check on our new bride."
"Oh, she is still sleeping. I don't think she is feeling too well this morning."
"I'll visit with her later then. I just thought of something I wanted to talk to her about."

"So this is it, huh? You're a married man now. I don't understand how you could be so happy knowing you're tied to one person for the rest of your life."

"And you know I will never understand how you could go your whole life without knowing what real love is."
"I guess this is it then?"
"You know I love you, Liv. I will always love you, but Chloe makes me very happy and if I'm going to make her happy then you and I need to stop seeing each other."
"I guess you're going to have to find a new place to live then, because in this house it is impossible to not see each other."
"Yeah, I guess you're right. This house is too small for five of us anyway."

Ruby may have struck out with Gregory by insulting him, but Liv seems to know just the right things to say.

Briar was starting to make friends of her own and she even invited Thor Ambrose home after school.

Chloe was surprised to find out that she was actually pregnant.

Once everyone found out it seemed to be all anyone could think of. Its not like it was the first baby to be born on the island.

It was getting pretty late so Zayne came over to bring Thor home. Briar didn't want her new friend to leave, but Zayne insisted.

Trent was becoming really close with the wolf pack, even the one with the strange eyes.

More confusing moments are on display for little Briar. Hopefully this will not influence her life.

"Well little Briar. Its time Chloe and I moved out on our own. You make sure to come and visit me, ok sweetheart?"
"Bye Trent, I'll visit you soon, I promise!"

Trent and Chloe look so sweet together. Can't wait to see what their kid(s) will look like.

Also, Briar is adorable. Will you turn her back into a plantsim when she's an adult?

Trent and Liv have such a twisted relationship. Let's hope that Trent's marriage will work when he still has feelings for Liv! Chloe is gorgeous and I can't wait to see their baby :) Briar grew up to be so adorable, I love her nose :)

Are you using a mod to make plantkids age up? I remember aging plantbabies up to children way back, but as far as I remember, they didn't age unless forced. I may be wrong there, though. I usually turn plantbabies back to regular sims before they age up.

I really need to age a plantbaby up that way again. It was back when I first started playing when I tried that, and I do remember that the age bar wasn't visible. So, more testing needed ;) It would be awesome if they could age up correctly without forcing the next age stage.

Does Chloe have a painted skintone, or is it just part of most of her clothing?
