Life was becoming more routine for the Morrow family. The girls were growing up big and healthy. Maddison started school with Natalya Ambrose. Pearl had signed up for a job in the Law career. She was hoping she could fix some of the bad blood between sims. These vendettas they had had gone on far too long.

With Quinn running his fish stand on his own hours he had plenty of time to spend with little Wylla.

Maddison came home from her first day of school in a bad mood. I think she expected too much from herself.

She has a cry in the bathroom where hopefully her Dad wouldn't hear her.

It seems to have helped and that night she asks her Mom to help her with her homework. She is determined to do better tomorrow.

She stays up way too late at night to be well rested for school in the morning.

Yet still wakes up in time for a cuddle with teddy before class.

Quinn opens up shop when Wylla is napping. Liv stops by with Trent to trade some fish for fresh produce. Quinn doesn't always have time to make it over to the market.

Hes never happier than when all his girls are home.

They keep trying, but I think Wylla is the one and only baby they will have naturally.

And she's a handful on her own, anyway.

Quinn can't get enough of her. He's always playing games, peek-a-boo being their favourite.

Maddison was innocently playing with the toy robot when it suddenly broke. Pearl saw this happen and decided it was time to lecture Maddison on the proper care for one's possessions.
"Maddison, you should take better care with your toys. Uncle Erik spent a lot of time making that toy robot and I can't be asking him over every day to fix it."

"I'm sorry, Mommy. I didn't mean to break it."

Despite what she said to Maddison, she still phoned Erik up to come and repair the toy and a few other things around the house.

He was over first thing in the morning, conveniently right after Maddison went to school.

With Wylla down for her morning nap and Maddison at school, Pearl and Quinn take advantage of Pearl's day off.

That night Wylla was meant to celebrate her birthday. Pearl made sure to invite everyone over for the big occasion.

"Oh wow, Chloe, I didn't know you were with child. No wonder Trent was in such a hurry to put a ring on it."
"Well, Liv, I actually conceived on our wedding night. Unlike some sims I saved myself until I was married."
"How quaint. Congratulations."

It was a good turnout for Wylla's party. Surprisingly Ruby and Erik both agreed to come.

Luckily the party wasn't ruined by a small fire that started. The rain put it out almost as soon as it started.

Happy birthday, Wylla!

Uh oh, looks like inviting Liv may have been a recipe for disaster. Chloe was already concerned about her because of her relationship with Trent. But Trent had assured her that it was over between them.

Looks like Liv had other plans.
"Oh Trent, I was stupid to let you run off with Chloe. Will you take me back? I'll change for you, I promise."
"Oh, uh Liv. I'm flattered but..."

"You ass! You told me you were done with her!"
"Ow, Chloe, stop! I was just going to..."
"Oh shut it, I never should have trusted you."

Liv couldn't look more pleased with herself.

Poor Maddison witnessed the whole thing. She's a sensitive child.

Pearl invited Chloe to stick around after the party. Maybe she could help with the situation before it got even worse.
"I can't believe he would do that to me with the baby coming soon."
"I'm sure he wasn't going to accept Liv's, uh, grand gesture. He looked rather taken, but I don't think he actually believed what she was saying for one second. Liv rejected him before, I can't see her suddenly having that big of a change of heart."
"I know he was still with her before he proposed to me. What makes things so different now? He still loves her, I know he does. I can see it when he looks at her."
"That may very well be true, but have you seen the way he looks at you? Look, why don't you and Trent stop by tomorrow evening. I'd like to help work this out with you two."
"Thanks Pearl, I think we'll do that. I can't raise this baby on my own."

"What a night..."
"Here, let me ease some of that tension."
"I didn't see that coming with Liv. I never would have invited her..."
"Its not your fault. I don't think anyone would have seen that coming."

Gryffon came home to play with Maddison after school, but everything he suggested he shot down.
"Why did you come home with me if you don't want to do anything I want to do?"
"Uh, well..."

"Look, you should play with me or you can just go home."
"Ok, fine. Lets play cops and robbers."

Rose also came home from school with the girls. Rose is a little more open to whatever Wylla suggests.

"Oh, you shot me! I'm going to turn into a ghost and come back and haunt you."
"Ha ha, yeah right!"

Cops and robbers is a popular game among the children right now.

Maddison has been starting to notice things lately and brings up her concerns over dinner.
"When I grow up, will I look more like you, Daddy?"
"Why do you ask that, Maddison?"

"Well, Wylla looks more like you. I think I look more like Uncle Erik."
"Um, well thats normal growing up. Everyone looks a bit like someone else in their family."
Smooth dodge Quinn, real smooth. Funny how Pearl stayed out of it, too.

Pearl distracts Maddison, by trying to peak her interest in sports.

Pearl pours over some psychology text books in preparation for Chloe and Trent's visit.

"I don't need to hear your psycho-babble, Pearl. Chloe and I can handle this on our own."

"You must not really think that, since you came over anyway."
"I only came over to prevent another argument from happening. Chloe and I are fine, that thing with Liv was stupid. I wasn't even going to say anything to her. Chloe just jumped the gun!"

"I know that."
"Wait, what? You do?"
"Yes. Anyone with a brain in there head would know that Liv wouldn't change in an instant like that."
"I know. This is so stupid. She did this just to get Chloe going. She had it in for her ever since I started seeing her."
"You should really talk with Chloe."
"I know, but she's so mad!"

"I talked with Trent. He said everything I told you last night. He knows Liv would never change and he doesn't have any intentions of leaving you."
"Are you sure? I saw them together before, they looked pretty close."
"They were, but Liv never wanted what Trent wants. He wants you and she couldn't handle that."

"That witch!"

"I'm sorry, baby."

They still have some work to do, but this is a good start.

Poor Quinn got struck by lighting twice in this bad storm they had that went on all night and the next morning.

Erik and Maddison finally share a moment together, though I'm sure Erik would have prefered to meet his daughter under other circumstances.
"Hey, Uncle Erik. I look like you!"

"Well, I am your Mom's brother! She and I look like each other too."
"Yeah, but I look more like you!"
One day someone is going to have to explain all this to Maddison.
