This is Adrian Wheeler.

This was Julie Wheeler. They were sailing off the shores of Twikkii Island when a freak storm blew in and shattered their boat against the rocks. Star and Orion, their two dogs, were able to pull them ashore. Unfortunately Julie didn't survive the crash.

Adrian didn't take the news of his wife's passing very well.

With nothing left to do he digs a grave for her on the edge of the hill looking out over the water.

He notices some houses around, but not wanting to deal with any other sims right now he just sets up camp right here.

The dogs are exhausted after the ordeal. They're all lucky to have survived.

After some much needed attention for the dogs Adrian decides to get some rest.

The shelter barely keeps the rain off.

And his sleep is restless and cut short.

The next morning Natalya walks by to check things out, the new shelter and the barking dogs couldn't go unnoticed so close to their settlement.

Adrian tells the story of how he got here and how he just lost his wife.
"Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss. We too were washed ashore not far from here after a similar accident. We have made ourselves a life here since then. You're more than welcome to join our small settlement."

"I noticed you have some dogs. I just happened to have some supplies from our dog that passed away. I thought you might like to have them."
"Wow, really?"

"Thank you so much. This is very kind of you. I think I will take up your offer to stay as well. I don't have any other choice at this point after all. My sailboat was destroyed."

Natalya also brought some fish over and Adrian quickly cooks it up and invites her to stay for lunch. He shared a bit more of his life with her like how he had just graduated med school to become a doctor and how he and Julie had planned this trip as a celebration and that they were hoping to have kids as soon as possible. He also told her about Star and Orion and how much he loved them and that he thought Star might be having puppies soon.

Natalya sat quietly and listened to his life story, but all she could think of was how sorry she felt for his dead wife and how she couldn't imagine anything like that happening to Zayne.

It wasn't long after Natalya left that other sims started to show up. First it was Nanys coming to welcome him to the island.

Then Erik stopped by.

"So you're looking to join our settlement, huh? I might just be able to help you out."

"Really? That would be great. I don't need any place fancy to live, just something for me and the dogs."

"That won't be any problem at all. It will take me a bit to get supplies, but I'll have it built in no time."

"Thank you so much, Erik. The generosity of everyone here is astounding."

Despite how welcome he was made to feel here, Adrian was still grieving for his wife and he was worried about his family back home. He didn't have much, just a father, but he was worried what he would think when Adrian didn't return from his holiday.

In his grief he was not himself. Looking back on this moment he would be shocked that he was so bold. It was too soon to even be thinking about another woman, but he had to be honest, Nanys was very attractive.

Just as he suspected Star gave birth to two puppies. He called the male Harley and the female Emma.

Despite this being her first litter, Star was a good Mom.

Quicker than he ever thought possible, Erik had a little hut built for him. He even brought over some furniture as well as appliances so he could cook proper meals.

Star made herself right at home.

He invited Erik to stay for lunch as a way of saying thanks.

Erik took quite a liking to Emma during his visit. He even joked about how he wouldn't mind if this was the girl he finally committed to.

Adrian couldn't keep up with four dogs by himself so he suggested that Erik should keep her.

"Really? Aw, thanks Adrian. I could use the company at home."
"Its the least I could do after the kindness you've shown me."

He had the perfect person in mind for the other pup, Harley. And as if she was reading his mind she suddenly turned up outside his hut.

She agreed the pup would be perfect for their family. The boys have been wishing they could have a pet and Natalya kept refusing to adopt one of the wild wolves as one. A puppy was more her speed.

Natalya and Erik had both mentioned the market where he could buy some fresh produce as well as clothing and other supplies. With only the clothes on his back it would be nice to have some variety.

He also met the strange half-plant sim called Liv. He'd never seen anything like her before, but he had read about the condition before in his medical text books.

It was nice to have a proper bed again, but it still didn't keep the nightmares at bay. Of course they were all to do with Julie.
